“Mens sana in corpore sano”. It is with this spirit that we designed the FUSION model. Starting from a healthy linear geometric basis, we reflected on how to activate “fun” and evocative aesthetic reasoning. We did not want to disturb the cleanliness of the seating element but at the same time, we wanted to make it stronger and more recognisable. And we did it with a rope perimeter detail, which was subsequently taken up on the backrests too. We didn’t want the sofa to rest on feet that were elegantly physically supportive but we wanted to place it with grace and irony on a structure that had a decisive character in the general design of the model. And we did this by covering them with the same material as the sofa and making them active with a delicate light that makes the union between past and present an eternal and constantly evolving enigma.
